“Connectivity for All” aims to ensure that the entire population of the state of Campeche is integrated into the benefits of the digital economy.
Objectives:
- The creation of two services to cover 300 localities in which 92% of the population lives: Installing the 922 km Dorsal Fiber Optic Network and the Remote Connection System with a central administration that controls all access points.
- Ensure that every student has equal access to the Internet regardless of geographic location or social status.
- Ensure connectivity so that mobile units can serve remote areas and all government services and social programs can be provided online.
- That the state be recognized for offering services, technological resources and access to knowledge and not only for being the passage of the Mayan Train or for oil extraction.
The Connectivity for All project has an economic impact by reducing spending on telecommunications services, a social impact by ensuring Internet access to 92% of the population, reducing the digital divide, and an environmental impact by significantly reducing land travel due to the digitization of public administration.
